SGB doo is a globally operating consulting firm that has been helping organizations on their path to a secure and resilient present and future since 2007. We help organizations reduce losses, prevent incidents, and build long-term resilience that ensures they maintain control over critical processes during times of crisis.
We work at the intersection of strategy and operational execution: from developing security strategies, analyzing risks, and preparing measures, to supporting implementation, training, and introducing innovative security solutions.
We work with private companies, international corporations, public institutions and local communities facing complex security challenges. We are particularly specialized in working with companies in industry, high-tech and development companies, telecommunications, trade and transport companies, and the oil industry. We work with public institutions, universities, institutes and law firms. We operate globally with a special focus on the Western Balkans.
Systematic and holistic. We don't address our clients' challenges with generic solutions, we tackle them at their source. We analyze the context, collect data, implement measures and advise on long-term risk management. We are not here to put out fires, but to build long-term resilient systems.
We operate legally, transparently and ethically, with a clear distinction between facts and interpretation. SGB is a supporter and advocate of the principles of ORRI – Open and Responsible Research and Innovation and open science. Where operationally and legally possible, we publicly share knowledge that contributes to social progress.
The company brings together experts from a wide range of backgrounds, with experience from national security agencies, the private sector or academic research. In addition to a core team of permanent employees, we collaborate on projects with leading domestic and foreign experts. This ensures that we provide the best possible support for each project.

Aleš is a police officer by education, but his desire for continuous development and innovation after 17 years of work in the national security system drove him to the private sector. In the company, he takes care of business relations, sales, innovations, professionally participates in various projects, and leads complex investigations. He is happy to accept an invitation for coffee, but rarely responds to e-mails.
Luka always wanted the job that Aleš had – until he met Aleš. He started his professional career in academic and research waters, and in 2020 he joined the SGB team as a project manager. He leads operational, international and research and development projects in the company. He has no free time, as he is a doctoral candidate at the University of Maribor. Luka responds to emails.
